Could you facilitate?
The beating heart of our charity is our support groups and our facilitators are what keep them pumping. If you are a good listener and can create a safe and welcoming space online for others, this might be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Facilitating is extremely rewarding, inviting you to expand your skills as well as support others.
We provide full training and supervision. After full training you will be expected to commit approximately 2.5 hours of your time, the same time on the same day each week. We need volunteers to be dependable and committed when taking on the role. In addition to this you will need to attend ongoing supervision & training (usually approximately one evening every two months).
We are looking for facilitators for the following days/times: Monday 3-5pm, Monday 7.15-9.15pm, Tuesday 3-5pm, Tuesday 7-9pm, Thursday 11-1pm, Friday 11-1pm.
Please note that this call-out is for these vacancies specifically. If you are not available to volunteer during these days/times then we will not be able to invite you to training this time, but do get in touch for future opportunities.
For more details, please see the attached role description and application form. Please also fill in the availability form online, also below.
Training will take place on Sat 26th September all day AND Weds 30 Sept 6-9pm. You will need to attend both training sessions to become a facilitator.
Closing Date: Fri 28 Aug 2020 Noon (but please apply as soon as you can – we cannot train everyone that applies so there will be an informal phone interview)
Please send completed applications to tara@changesbristol.org.uk or for more information.
